All laundry detergers, but some of the most common are soap, shampoo, detergent and conditioner.
The most popular soap brands, according to data from the Consumer Price Index, are brands like Soap, Dove, Kool-Aid, Almay and Dove Ultra.
The best-selling shampoo and conditioners are the brands Clarisonic and Tide.
The top-selling detergent brands are Tide, Neutrogena, Aloe Vera and Claritin.
Laundry and laundry detergeners are among the most expensive products, but consumers are not paying much more for laundry detergel than they are for shampoo and detergent.
The Consumer Price Data Institute found that in 2011, consumers paid an average of $2.15 for shampoo, $2 for conditioner and $0.72 for laundry soap.
Soaps and conditionants are about the same price per ounce.
In the laundry deterger market, the most important factors for consumers are cost and availability, according the report.
Lack of availability has long been a concern for consumers.
But a report in the Wall Street Journal last month showed that some consumers have taken matters into their own hands and are using the internet to shop online for their laundry products.
