Denver Avalanche forward Alex Tanguay will be playing in his first game since being injured in a shootout win over the Buffalo Sabres on Tuesday.
Tanguay, who left the game with a lower-body injury late in the third period, did not return.
Avalanche coach Jared Bednar said he hoped Tanguey could play.
“He’s got to be 100 percent,” Bednar told reporters.
“He’s been a good guy all year.
He’s a guy that can be trusted to play at a high level.
He has a couple of really good years ahead of him.
We’ll see what happens.”
The Avalanche were eliminated from the postseason in the first round.
